If all macro life and structures removed everything would still be in outline, mountains, oceans, land, clouds, rivers, air, dust. In short everywhere, inside and outside.

There are more microbes in one square inch of the human intestine than the whole human population of earth. 20 minutes for each generation, faster adaptation.
*With some audiences: Mass extinctions include microbes either as the cause (the great oxygenation) or their own die off such as microbes in the intestines due to foods and antibiotics.
There have been 5 mass extinctions. We may be at the start of the sixth, the Anthropocene.

Everything we know that will stop them can potentially kill us. Total sterilization will quickly become covered in microbes and micro contaminates again.
Washing hands, vaccination, sanitation, public health, education, good nutrition, exercise, clean air, clean water, health courtesy, knowledge. These all help but there are no absolute barriers.
It is possible to create distance, which on the microlevel is equivalent to time.
This means that eventually it will reach you, but that could be measures in light years and speeds less that the speed of light.
If the distance is only a few thousand miles a microbe can transverse that in only a few hours
if hitched on the flow of liquid, air or solid. The best transportation is other living matter which are called vectors.
Humans are the most widespread and fastest moving vector.

The universe consists mostly of empty space.
A small percentage consists of energy, and matter in the form of gas, liquids and solids depending on temperature.
Organic matter is composed of other matter and for the most part is integrated into molecules of matter.
When we view microbes we don’t see the gas, liquid and solid it is embedded in, but these are the biomes that are the matrix of the biosphere.
The biosphere is not possible without the other spheres.
A best case biome for microbes is inside a multi cellular macrobe , a body.
Bodies provide rich environments that allow for large, diverse and dense populations of microbes.
Some macrobes are microscopic
Bodies provide protection from radiation (to include temperature) and from other microbes.
Bodies provide transportation away from threats
Such as climate changes, or toxins or into better biomes as created by events like climate change and pollutions.
Bodies that transport macrobes are known as vectors.
All macrobes are a potential vector.
Humans are the most widespread and fastest moving vector
Microbes in water, soil, air, and plasma (not blood plasma)
Plasma is the state of matter that is quantum between matter and energy, magnoelectric.

Middle photo, Tardigrades (water bears), 1mm in upper right corner. 1mm can be seen by human eye, not microscopic, the size of a period or a human ova. .1 and smaller is microscopic. Smallest known life are Eukaryotes at 0.8 µm, micrometer, 1 millionth of a meter. They are a multicellular life form.
-Can survive tremendous temperature range, -457°F (liquid nitrogen -321) to 357°F degrees (boiling point of mercury), humans start to die when body is 70°F, 21 °C to 113°F, 45°C
-More than 1,500 species, world wide, deepest oceans (10,994 meters, 36,070 feet, at 1,086 bars, 15,750 psi), underground (2.2 miles (3.6km), and in the stratosphere (50 km, 31 miles, same air pressure as Mars)
-Can survive 700 grays of radiation, 10-20 grays would kill humans and most animals
Gy is 1 Joule (force to make 1 watt for 1 second) of radiation per kilogram of matter. 1 Rad = 0.01 Gy. Annual rad(iation) exposure from natural sources of about 310 millirem (thousandths of a rad). An dental x ray is 0.01 rem (10 millirem), NOTE: this is mixing radiation measurements
-Boiled, frozen, dried (10 years without water then will go dormant), irradiated = the vacuum of space
