CV3. Information: How to Avoid Misinformation About Covid-19. False information about the pandemic is rampant; here’s how experts say you can identify what news to trust and what might be faulty
CV4. Politics: Different perceptions of othered people. British Columbia Is Winning the Coronavirus Fight. CV9. Arts: Health Care Workers Are Dancing on Social Media to Cheer up the Quarantined and Relieve Stress.
CV10. Spirituality: The theme of resurrection if found in many religions and tends to be celebrated about the same time of year, i.e. spring in the northern hemisphere. It is not surprising that renewal of life is a theme at this time during CV, with some willing to risk their own and others lives to celebrate in the same way as in normal conditions. -A. To Surf or Not to Surf. Wave Riders Ponder Pandemic Rules. Surfing by its very nature reinforces social distancing. Those who surf keep their distance from others when they’re out in the water. It’s a place of tranquility and escape. It’s awe inspiring. Just being able to sit out there and be alone with your thoughts and look at the waves break and watch sunsets and sunrises.
CV11. Exploitation: Behind Closed Doors, Trump's Coronavirus Task Force Boosts Industry and Sows Confusion. Jared and his friends decided they were going to do their thing. It cost weeks. CV4↑. [Cartoon]. MORE: Jared Kushner Task Force Mocked as "the Children" in FEMA Headquarters.
CV12. Personal: My wife is a nut. Woke us up early to hide eggs around neighbors houses. Did not want to disappoint the children. Though some were age appropriate, most of the children had been born before 1970. I was so embarrassed that I wore Easter bunny ears so no one would recognize me. [Photo =2=].
CV13. Outliers: The first occurrence is often times an outlier. Overtime, if repeated (which may take years between waves), it becomes an anomalous blip, or the start of a trend. All 50 States under Disaster Declaration for First Time in US History. Trump’s Reasonable – and Yet Still Worrisome – Emergency Declaration.
CV15. Grief: The New Rules for Mourners in Wuhan Have Angered Many Residents. His father died of the Coronavirus on Feb. 1 and was cremated. Ashes can now be picked up, but the government requires a chaperone for visits to the crematorium as well as for burials. Coronavirus Is Changing the Rituals of Death for Many Religions.
CV16. Unintended Consequences/ Social Change: 200411-CV16. Gen Z under Lockdown: How They're Coping, from Tiktok to Virtual Drinks. Gen Z has been criticized for not taking social distancing seriously. Why they're staying home, and how they're staying sane. This is an example of the risks of providing clinical information in the popular press. Reports before spring break were that few young people were being infected. Anyone familiar with pandemic patterns knows that it is normal that elderly and very young will be infected and die first, then young adults. Young adults anxious for spring break took this as authoritative statements that they were safe, not considering that there may be a vested interest in providing false information. Same applies to the belief that only people who die from CV have underlying health conditions, or preexisting ones.
CV17. Uncertainty/ Contradictions: Health Care Workers Fear Losing Their Jobs During Coronavirus Pandemic. The irony of US use of the Caduceus vs Staff of Asclepius. [Symbols, Conspiracy medicine is evil]. [Cartoon CV18↓].
-A. POST COLLECTIO: Turns out the HCWs were losing jobs in larger numbers for refusing to vaccinate from CV. This is in part because of before decisions in the past that allowed HCWs to not vaccinate for other diseases, such as the flu, likely the eventual consequences were not considered. Likely that the same people who refused to vaccinate before are the ones being let go, plus those who they were able to influence to their fake beliefs.
CV18. Narrative: The Statue of Liberty Icon [Photo, Cartoon, Ebola2014, Smog, repeating images of the 2009H1N1]. CV20. Communication: Failure to communicate, failure to listen. The ‘Red Dawn’ Emails: 8 Key Exchanges on the Faltering Response to the Coronavirus. Red Dawn was intended to provide thoughts, concerns, raise issues, share information across various colleagues responding to Covid-19. This included medical experts and doctors from the Health and Human Services Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Homeland Security Department, the Veterans Affairs Department, the Pentagon and other federal agencies tracking the historic health emergency. The containment practices of past outbreaks (in this case a domestic animal zoodemic*) could have lessons for modern epidemics.
-*A. POST COLLECTIO: CV06. Zoodemic is a pandemic or epidemic among animals. Zoonoses, zoonotic are diseases that jump from animals to humans, animals being the reservoir of the pathogen that makes a disease endemic (which CV had done 201221-CV28A). There is no specific word for transmission of diseases passed from humans to animals, but there is Reverse Zoonotic Disease Transmission and possibly Zooanthroponosis (animal man disease).CV26. Environment: People in India Say They're Seeing the Himalayas for First Time in Decades amid Drop in Air Pollution. Pope Says Coronavirus Outbreak May Be One of 'Nature's Responses' to Climate Change =2= MORE: From Nairobi, a Rare, Clear Glimpse of Mount Kenya Drives Disbelief on Social Media. This is a good place to point out again that parademic is what people believe is true. PDN is not a validation that what is believed is fact, but reports on what is believed, irregardless if the belief is based on fact. It has been a consistent observation that people behave in accordance to what they believe. If they don’t believe CV is a threat, they won’t take precautions, potentially harming others. If they believe CV is a potential extinction event they may be overly cautious, which can harm others. [Meme]. The Pandemic and Pollution. Gaia Hypothesis, Medea Hypothesis may define human behaviors toward the biosphere in much the way dominionism vs stewardship does.

CV27. Learning: Map: Coronavirus and School Closures.
CV28. Logistics: Masks are popular and still in short supply. An example of a company that switched from one product to another. This company started by volunteering to make 100 masks for local police. They are now at over 11,000 masks sold, but have not yet made all of them as demand was higher than production. In my own locale there are several people making face masks for donation or sale, so likely this has become an instant cottage industry, but unregulated the quality and efficacy are probably uneven. 200411-CV3.
