The social and psychological unrest arising from the epidemic tends to crowd out the conflicts of the pre epidemic period, but at the same time, it constitutes the fertile ground on which global protest may return more aggressively once the epidemic is over.

POST COLLECTIO: Just speculation at this point but if there is a cluster of counties, possibly states, that will vote for Trump in the 2020 election, it is possible they will succeed – at least briefly – declaring Trump the president, even if he never occupies the office. If this includes heavily armed areas, militias possibly state national guards this could become quite the conflict. Depending on the situation the rest of the country may decide these areas are not worth the cost of forced entry. Refugees will be accepted from the areas, but otherwise will be ignored and allow them to throttle themselves. NOTE This was actually written at the time originally posted but not included. At the time it did not to be a good idea to make such an inflammatory forecast. Later events indicate that this was more probable than one would like.
CV28. Logistics: Dead Chicks, Delayed Prescriptions: Late Mail Leaves Rural America Disconnected. I can’t verify anecdotally CV12 the chicks, but can about the prescriptions. I had called the mail pharmacy I use to report I had not received a prescription (unfortunately after I ran out). The person I spoke to mentioned she had worked there for several years but the first time she got such a call was the previous week, while I was the third can about a missing postal delivery that day. Fortunately there is a pharmacy about an hour away that was able to deliver, and an expedited prescription arrived a few days later.
