PDN Introduction.

CV10. Spirituality, Philosophy: A National Group for Christian Doctors Pleads with Churches to Worship at Home. As Coronavirus cases spike, a national group that represents thousands of evangelical Christian doctors and other healthcare providers is asking churches to stop holding services in person. In "A Plea to Our Churches", leaders of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations say that Christians who persist in holding large gatherings at this time could "appear to care only about our individual freedoms and don't care that we may be contributing to others getting this illness because of our selfishness". Fresno Bishop Warns Catholics Against Immoral Covid Vaccines, Including Pfizer’s, ADDED Although Fetal Derived Cells Are Used to Grow Viruses for Some Covid-19 Vaccines, the Cells Are Not Part of the Vaccines though unlikely this distinction would be clear to someone who is strongly anti abortion.
CV12. Personal, Relationships: Social Ties, Quarantine Policy, and the Spread of Covid-19. Covid-19 remains a major challenge for nations around the world. Our research uses quantitative methods to try to understand the role of mobility and social networks in Covid-19 related outcomes, especially behaviors such as social distancing, voluntarism, and altruism. Through a survey of more than 800 New York City and Boston residents we seek to correlate social infrastructure (trust, bonding, bridging, and linking ties) and decisions to stay at home (or continue with normal, pre Covid-19 times) with changes in behavior while controlling for demographic, political, and other factors. While our data analysis is still preliminary, and we have only a few qualitative interviews with which to illuminate our quantitative findings, it is clear that networks, trust, and cohesion continue to have an impact during the ongoing pandemic.
CV18. Narrative, Social Reality: Are Covid Patients Gasping ‘It Isn’t Real’ as They Die. An ER nurse’s anecdote of deranged denialism went viral, but when the media caught wind of the story, reporters didn’t do their jobs. The story fit a narrative, but unfortunately this also supports the narrative that media is biased. Having to spend additional effort to determine is a news item is valid or not may also explain CV news fatigue, 201118-3. Part of the problem stems from news having to compete to be current and first, sort of an operation warp speed, 201110-CV28, 200925-CV06, 200902-CV28.1A, 200619-CV03, 200614-CV28, 200531-CV04, 200502-CV22. -A. ADDED This Is Dr. Fauci’s Fiery Message to People Who Think Covid-19 Isn’t Real. To get a sense of how stunningly untethered from reality the coronavirus denialism is – and why Dr. Fauci’s comments were necessary in the first place – it helps to look to someone like El Paso based nurse who shared the details from one of her recent hospital encounters in a widely shared Twitter thread that drew media attention. Long story short, she mentions talking to one Covid patient in his hospital bed who decried “fake news” and said that he doesn’t think Covid is “really more than a flu”, “¿Now, you think differently, though?”, she asked him

CV19. Technosphere: Behavioral, Psych Condition Care Shifted to Telemedicine During Covid-19. Office based visits for behavioral and psychiatric conditions decreased in association with the Covid-19 pandemic, although increases in telemedicine visits offset these decreases.
CV21. Syndemic, Concurrent Disasters: Antimicrobial Resistance as Dangerous as Pandemic. The WHO warned that growing antimicrobial resistance was every bit as dangerous as the coronavirus pandemic – and threatened to reverse a century of medical progress.
CV23. Polemic, Myphysis: Milwaukee Health Department Says Staff Are Being Targeted by Death Threats, Doxxing. Unknown if this is related to election =2= CV23 loss, Wisconsin Election Official: We Shouldn't Water Trump's 'Plant of Baloney'.

CV30. Methodology: About That Danish Mask Study That Shows That Masks Don’t Work. Danish researchers published a negative randomized controlled study of masks to prevent Covid-19. Is this slam dunk evidence that masks don’t work. That New Study Saying Masks Might Not Be Effective. It Has a Few Caveats.
-A. ADDED Danish Face Mask Study Did Not Show That Masks Were Ineffective at Reducing Spread of Covid-19; Study Was Underpowered and Results Were Inconclusive. Article Claiming That “Masks Don’t Work” Misleads Readers by Inaccurately Interpreting a Withdrawn Study and a Published Study Conducted on U.S. Marine Corps Recruits, this is not the Danish study but in the realm of misinformation like tends to attract like.
