-1. Viral Waste, or Covid Down the Toilet: Post Colonic Pandemic Biopolitics. The Covid-19 pandemic presents us with yet another example of the implacable return of shit to the biosecurity calculus. What explains this compulsive recursion to human excrement in prim and proper epidemiological analysis. What anxieties underlie our incapacity ever to leave behind the defecatory scene. That is, what is happening when we imagine samples of otherwise worthless, even dangerous, human waste as valuable and informative viral sentinels. What biomedical ritual makes such transformation possible. And what politics of life does shit 4↓ generate when thus purified and objectified.
-2. On the surface this article is about the direction of too much effort toward wastewater surveillance of CV. This attention is likely a holdover from western imperialism imposition of its mores on other cultures. However, I suspect that the author of the subject article is expressing a droll opinion about the political response to CV and its apparent fascination of Coprophilia and Coporophobia.
-A. As the curator of Parademic I had notice the toilet plume =2= =3= Scroll down to #4 panic but did not note it as a stub. I’d dismissed it at a urban myth (there are so many for CV) and poor science journalism (again so much for CV). This is a recycled variation of the airborne Ebolaphobia =2= and getting STDs from toilet seats. I am aware that social contagions are spread by both social and mainstream media$ and how toilets and feces are common analogies for politics.
-B. Though parademic probably should have noted CV Toilet Plumes as a stub, the Toilet Paper 6↓ shortage seemed to be more important at the time. The misinformation about Plumes was quickly and effectively debunked. It is likely that phobia contributed to sales and creating shortages of bathroom disinfectants and air fresheners.

-A. Have not delved into this but observed while locating parademic stubs about Toilet Paper that there was a correlation of some unexpected words, “gun” being one, and Toilet Paper. This is not correlation is not causation, but an indication that there is a common cause or connection between two separate facts. Ludicrous Juxtapositions indicate either humor, or another ideofact linking the two.
